Palmerston Homecoming 150: Foam, Food & Feel Alive Vibes

What a weekend, Palmerston! The 150th Homecoming celebration did not disappoint — and the Feel Alive crew was all in for every moment of it.

We kicked things off with the parade, and wow — what a turnout! My brother and dad came up just for it, and it was totally worth it. From the vibrant floats to the incredible pipe and brass bands echoing through town, it was one of those moments that really made you feel the heart of the community.

Mid-afternoon, things got electric at the Kids Glow Party at the Legion. Let’s be honest — the kids had a blast, but the adults were definitely living their best lives too. Glow sticks, dance floor chaos, and good vibes all around.

Feel Alive Wellness Station (yes, that’s us — your local café, smoothie bar, and general good vibe legends) was proud to sponsor the Handcar Race, one of the weekend’s biggest hits. Big congrats to the fire crew for taking the win in the epic Fire vs. Police showdown… sorry OPP, that one’s gonna sting for a while.

Our daughter was totally obsessed with the foam party — especially plugging her nose and diving face-first into the soapy bubble piles. Peak childhood magic.

Of course, the beer tent delivered classic Homecoming energy. $5 beers? What could possibly go wrong (besides a few questionable dance moves)? We won’t name names, but you know who you are.

Massive shoutout to all the amazing food trucks that kept us fuelled all weekend long. Special mention to:

• Ravenous – bringing the flavour bombs

• Mapleton Organics Ice Cream – a sweet, local legend

• Berlin 95 – serving up next-level eats with serious style

The live music kept the party going well into the night, and the town was buzzing with good vibes and even better company.

And to top it all off — we were so pumped to see a fellow Palmerstonian take home the Catch the Ace win. If it couldn’t be us, we’re glad it went to someone well-deserving!
