Lights, Lattes & Local Chaos — Holiday Magic, Palmerston Style

Nov 2025

If Christmas in Palmerston had a personality, it would be: loud lights, full cups, friendly chaos, and absolutely no chill — in the best way. This year, we were proud to sponsor two of our favourite holiday happenings: Light Up the Park and the Kris Kringle Market. Different vibes. Same town. Maximum festive energy.

Light Up the Park

For Light Up the Park, we did something a little wild… we closed the shop. On purpose. Voluntarily. No lattes. No blenders. Just us, our family, and the rest of Palmerston out there soaking it all in like proper townsfolk.

And honestly? Best decision ever.

Lions Heritage Park showed off. The trails were glowing, the trees were lit, kids were buzzing, adults were pretending not to be just as excited, and the whole place felt like one giant Hallmark scene — minus the dramatic snowfall and surprise ex-boyfriends.

The countdown happened. The lights came on. The choir and Norwell's band absolutely crushed it. Fireworks lit up the sky. Goosebumps were had.

And then there were the wagon rides. Pulled by two stunning horses — Barbie and Belle — an aunt-and-niece duo who honestly stole the show. Regal. Calm. Unbothered queens. We were obsessed.

Santa was busy. Buddy the Elf was everywhere. The Grinch was causing his usual mischief. There was storytime by the firepits, crafts, performers roaming around, and families just… together. No rush. No schedule. Just good, old-fashioned community magic.

Kris Kringle Market

Then came the Kris Kringle Market — aka downtown Palmerston’s annual reminder that yes, we can absolutely turn it up when we want to.

Food trucks? Everywhere. Over 40 local makers? You bet. Cozy firepits, late-night shopping, festive tunes, and streets packed with people who clearly understood the assignment.

Inside our shop? Controlled chaos.

Hot chocolates. Festive lattes. Apple ciders. Repeat. Mr. Feel Alive (Nik) went full cruise-ship mode — fast hands, laser focus, zero fear — while people waited, chatted, laughed, and vibed to electro-swing Christmas music like it was exactly where they were meant to be. Busy doesn’t even cover it. We were in it.

We were also proud sponsors of the night (along with so many other local legends), helping make the

whole thing happen. Our festive passport deal made its appearance (you know the one), and the energy stayed high from open to close.

Why We Show Up

We don’t sponsor events just to put our name on things. We do it because this town has had our back from day one — and showing up for Palmerston is kind of our favourite thing.

Whether we’re closing the shop to walk the lights, or keeping it wide open to fuel the crowd, we’re here for it all.

Palmerston, you crushed the holidays. You bundled up. You shopped local. You waited for drinks. You brought the vibes.

And honestly? We’re still riding that festive high.

Here’s to lights, lattes, local chaos — and a community we’re ridiculously proud to be part of in Palmerston.
